What?

NEW OLD BLACK FOREST is a project that aims to change the view on the Black Forest, a region in Southern Germany.

Whithin a weeklong stay in a local cabin with 30 designers, artists and musicians, we want to explore the region in a creative-artistic way.

We will create a contemporary view on the region giving up on the traditional clichés.

To assure a substantiated impression on the region and stimulate the creative process, we will go on various adventures.

During the stay, we will provide our members with the opportunity to experiment, discuss and exchange their ideas with other participants. They will also gain insight into the nature and culture of the Black Forest.

Why?

Right at our doorstep, there's this mountain landscape, which is surrounded by a huge forest. Together with the participants, we want to explore the region to show everyone the charm, beauty and singularity of the Black Forest.

We think there is more about this region than the traditional image often linked with Black Forest ham, Black Forrest cherry cake, and the Cuckoo Clock.
